I became a travel writer to help fund my wanderlust. While it doesn’t pay much, I am experiencing destinations in ways I couldn’t otherwise. I am nearing the end of my travel days and I still want to collect memories not stuff.
I just returned from 3.5 weeks on a Southern States road trip (fly/drive). Several times I looked at souvenirs and each time evaluated the need. Ha! I came home with a pack of flavored salt and a book. Both fit in the carry on. I did manage to collect 3,216 images however.
I often take vertical and horizontal pictures of the same scene because one of the pubs I write for owns the images I submit. I must keep my options open.
Well say, especially the point about life being unpredictable

Love this! I agree - collecting memories not stuff is the way to go.

Sounds amazing. The number of photos I take can be very overwelming!
